Beau Cottage is located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the Boonsboro area of Lynchburg. Nestled in an upscale, well established residential neighborhood you will find this location perfect for walking and biking. With lots of trees and well maintained homes, you will find this area of town very inviting, safe and quiet.
Grocery and dining options are close by, some even within walking distance! As hosts we are happy to make suggestions for activities, restaurants or shopping.
Beau Cottage has a professionally decorated interior, nine foot ceilings and oversized windows, the space is airy and light filled. Comfort and style prevail and we hope you will feel at home.
With two spacious bedrooms, two full baths, a living room, dining room, TV room, a small but well equipped kitchen and a generous front porch, your stay will be comfortable and convenient.
Beau Cottage is a one story home with three easy entries: a front door, a kitchen side and a rear door to the master bedroom. Each bedroom is equipped with blackout curtains and ceiling fans for a good night's sleep. The washer and dryer are easily accessible on the main living floor within the master ensuite bathroom.
Special notes about the cottage:
A handicapped access is located at the rear of the house and the house is equipped with an inline generator that automatically comes on to power the house in the event of a power outage.
The original, oversized, double hung windows are NOT operable. The house is older and over the years they have become none functional.
There is a little slope to the house's main hall floor but this only adds to the charm of an older home.

Summary: Absolutely adorable property! We were in town for graduation day. This property was the perfect size to come back to to relax to and call home for the weekend. The kitchen is a bit small if you like to cook and spread out when you do, like we are used to. But why cook when you are away? This house is decorated impressively. Don’t hesitate to book.

Summary: Peaceful. Restful. We came to Lynchburg for college days. Lots of busy running around activities and it was so lovely coming back to this sweet cottage to unwind, relax and breathe. I love the front porch. Thank you for providing a beautiful spot for small families to rent.

Summary: The home was very nice and cozy with beautiful decor and plenty of comfortable spaces to spread out; I especially enjoyed the porch for reading. The neighborhood was quiet and in an excellent location for our family trip. The streets are narrow so the on street parking can be a bit tricky (we worked around cars, yard debris and trailer hitches in the street). The layout of the house was nice for a family of adults - separation of the master suite from the twin bedroom with two full baths was great! I will say that this is an older home with all that goes with an older home, not a concern for us as experienced old home owners so we loved the quirks and charm.

Summary: My husband and I stayed at Amy and Jimmy's cottage from May 18 until May 22, 2022 to attend my niece's University of Lynchburg graduation. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being in a residential area vs downtown...much more quiet and homey. The only issue I had was trying to maneuver the front brick walkway. It is very uneven and I had to hang onto my husband so I wouldn't fall. But once I got to the beautiful open porch, it was so worth it! Thank you for your gracious hospitality.

Summary: The house is on the small side, but the four of us had plenty of room. It's well decorated and very comfortable. It's also located in a nice neighborhood close to some shopping and perfect for after dinner walks.
